Melt 1/2 cup butter in a large pan.
Dissolve three tablespoons of corn starch into one cup of whole milk
Add the milk mixture to the melted butter, stir in one cup of heavy cream and
one cup of sugar
Keep stirring over medium heat until the mixture is like pudding
Remove from heat, stir in a pinch of vanilla extract
Pour into a pie shell, sprinkle with nutmeg
Eat warm or cold
